Why performance marketing fails when the website doesn't keep up

Every agency promises ROAS improvement. Most of them are blocked by the landing page they have no authority over. Slow mobile LCP, broken form submission, conversion event mis-fired in GA4, dead pixel on the form's third question — these aren't ad problems, but they kill the ads' ROI.

Because we ship both the ads and the site, we close the loop. When a campaign underperforms we can ship the landing page fix in the same week, not file a ticket with a separate vendor and wait six.

Attribution in a cookieless world

Third-party cookies are gone. Multi-touch attribution from 2019 is unreliable. Modern attribution is server-side: GA4 with Measurement Protocol events fired from the backend, first-party identity tracking via hashed email, lift studies for paid campaigns where the spend justifies it.

We set this up at the start, not as an afterthought. The reporting dashboard ships with the campaigns, not three months later when someone asks "so what's actually working?"

Do you run Google Ads, Meta Ads and LinkedIn Ads in-house?

Yes — campaigns built, optimized and reported on by the same team that ships the landing pages they point to. We don't subcontract media buying to a separate vendor.

How do you measure success without third-party cookies?

Server-side conversion events (GA4 Measurement Protocol, Meta Conversions API, LinkedIn CAPI), first-party identity (hashed email passed at signup), and post-purchase attribution surveys for high-consideration purchases. We design the measurement layer before the first campaign goes live.

What's your minimum monthly ad spend?

We don't have a hard minimum, but most of our engagements involve ad spend large enough that measurement and creative iteration matter — usually $5K/month+ across channels. Below that, you're often better off with focused organic work and a small DIY ad setup.

Do you handle creative production for ads?

Yes. Static creatives, video ads, motion graphics, landing pages — all in-house. We test creative variants alongside targeting variants so we can tell which variable actually moved the needle.

Can you work with our existing analytics setup?

Almost always yes. We audit what's there, fix what's broken — GA4 conversion events are misconfigured more often than not in the setups we've inherited — and add the server-side events we need. Net-new GA4 + Search Console + Looker setups are also fine if you're starting clean.

How long until we see ROAS improvement?

30–60 days for measurable improvement on existing campaigns, 60–120 days for new channels to mature. Anyone promising results in two weeks is selling brand-keyword conquesting, which boosts attribution numbers without growing the business.
